Alton Romero

MONTGOMERY- Alton J. Romero, age 77, passed away on December 2nd, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Alton was born on October 18th, 1948, in Abbeville Louisiana, to the late Alton Sr. & Elaine (LeBlanc).

Alton was a technician in the oil industry, known for his expertise and dedication. His journeys took him to far-off places, but no matter where he roamed, his heart always returned to his wife and family in Montgomery, Vermont. Beyond his career, he was a true sportsman at heart. Whether deep-sea fishing for marlins, showcasing his skills in fishing tournaments, bird hunting, skeet shooting, or hitting the links for a round of golf, Alton embraced every moment with enthusiasm. His love for the outdoors was evident during joyful boat rides with his wife and friends and spirited football games, where he was not just a spectator but a true sports advocate.

Alton is survived by his wife; Rhonda Martinson-Greenway; children; Blythe Romer and her significant other, Rory Castille, and Damian Romero; stepchildren, Taylor Greenway and her significant other, John Gordon, and Kirsten Bonneau and her husband Andrew; granddaughter; Zoe Romero and her significant other, Kellen Delcambre; great-granddaughter, Drew; siblings, Robert Romero and Joseph Romero; grand animals; Pudge, Skittles, Grumpus and Kramer. In addition to his parents, Alton was pre-deceased by his son, Drew Romero.

In respecting Alton's wishes, the family will hold a private gathering.
