ST. ALBANS - Amelia E. Nolan, age 89, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab Center.

Amelia was born on June 28, 1934, in Warwick, RI, to the late Manuel & Georgianna (Morris) Rezendes.

She led a life filled with simple joys and a genuine love for others. As a homemaker, she dedicated her days to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. Her interests were varied, from scouring lawn sales for hidden treasures to engaging in the friendly competition of bingo. Amelia found solace in the art of crochet, the rhythm of dancing, and the challenge of word searches. Her involvement in the VFW ladies auxiliary and Lions Club showcased her commitment to serving her community, and her faith was an integral part of her life, as a cherished member of both St. Anthony's Church and St. John the Baptist Church.

Amelia is survived by her son, Bob Nolan and his wife Connie of St. Albans; grandchildren, Jennifer Blaney-Guilmette and her husband Jake, Robert "RJ" Nolan and his wife Emily, and Chantel Nolan and her fiancé, Josh Sundby; great grandchildren, Skyler, Zach, Cassidy, Camden, Lenyx, Leo, and Colter; great great grandchildren, Holden, and Wrenley; her man friend, Charlies Donohugh; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Amelia was predeceased by her husband, Leo Nolan; their daughter, Stella Blaney; and her siblings, Frank Rezendes and his wife Josephine, Ernest Rezendes and his wife Loretta, Dorothy Tedescki and her husband Joe, Manuel Rezendes and his wife Lola, and John Rezendes and his wife Susan.

Friends & family are invited to Amelia's life celebration on Friday, April 19, 2024 to include visitation from 1-2:00 PM followed with a memorial service at 2:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Sheldon Springs.
