Andre Rondeau Sr.

SHELDON - Andre Rondeau Sr., age 81, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at his home surrounded by his beloved family and friends.

He was born December 10,1944 in Sheldon to the late George A. Rondeau Sr. and Olive (Smith) Rondeau.

He was a high school graduate from Highgate. He married Carolyn West on October 10, 1964. For 44 years he worked with Harrison Concrete. For many years he worked on foundations as Foreman. He then later was a loader operator for Harrison until his retirement. As a younger man he owned and worked a small dairy farm and took carpenter jobs on the side.

Andre was an avid hunter. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club and an avid gunsmith. He truly loved nature and all its beauty. In his downtime, he enjoyed watching old westerns.

Andre is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rondeau; two children, Christopher Rondeau, and Nicole Rondeau Johnson; grandchildren, Christopher Rondeau II and his fiancé Tera Broderick and her two children, Grayer and Artemis Broderick, Alex Rondeau and his wife Lies and their children, Ester Marie, Noah, and Ezra, Alaura McManus and her husband Liam, Hannah Conley and her husband Calvin, and Jacob Johnson and his fiancé Shelby Carr and their daughter, Gloria Carr; siblings, Helen Allargaza, MarieAnne West, Jacqueline Simard, and George Rondeau Jr.; siblings-in-law, Leland West, Irene Montgomery, Elizabeth Norris, Joyce Menard, Elaine Reed, Bárbara Colby, and Patrcia Nolan; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Andre was predeceased by his children, Andre Rondeau Jr., and Theresa Rondeau; sister, Madelyn Medor; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Plante, Reginald West, Gloria Beyor, Virginia Goulet, Marion Teague, and Leo West, Jr.

Friends & family are invited to Andre's life celebration on Monday, October 26, 2026 to include a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 117 Shawville Road, Sheldon Springs, VT. Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
