Andrea Maria Belrose

SWANTON - Andrea Ledoux Belrose, age 83, left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 6, 2026.

She was the daughter of Edmund E. Ledoux and Hazel Vanslette Ledoux of Highgate Springs, VT. She was born on March 22, 1943 in Sharon, Connecticut. On August 24th, 1963 she married Gary F. Belrose. She always said she had the "best of the best" to put up with her for over 52 years. Together they made a home on 13 Platt Street for 44 years raising their three sons, Eric, David and Jeffrey. Later they moved to 13 Andy Ave, and it was a new home that she thoroughly enjoyed.

She was a 1961 graduate of the former St. Anne's Academy in Swanton and attended classes at CCV in St. Albans. In her younger years she loved roller skating, ice skating, swimming, dancing and 50-60's country music. She especially enjoyed her horse "Lady". She was an avid reader, loved walking, gardening, coin collecting and playing solitaire and word games on the computer, but mostly emailing her friends. She loved the fall foliage, rainbows and sunsets. What she enjoyed most was camping with her grandchildren and going to the drive-in movies. She enjoyed going to ballets, concerts and sports events. Unfortunately, she was not able to do as much as she got older because of her physical disabilities. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nativity, Lector and Choir member. She worked for Swanton Limestone for 25 years as the office manager, then went on to Shelburne Limestone, for a total of 40 years.

She is survived by her children, Eric Belrose and partner Sara Stone, David Belrose, Jeff Belrose and his wife Kirsten; her special "daughter", Lucy Leduc; grandchildren, Dilon and his partner Aubrey and Jesse Cross and his wife Eila, and their mother Darla Cross, Jeffrey, Hannah and Olivia Belrose, and Parker Stone Belrose; siblings, Karen Jarvis and companion Ron Cadieux, and Teena Whittier and her husband Duane, and Kraig Ledoux and his wife Kimberley; sisters-in-law, Rita Ledoux, Carolyn Callan and her husband Peter, Carol Concannon, Peggy Belrose and Will; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edmund and Hazel Ledoux, her brother Jim in 1998, three baby sisters and special twin cousins: Jean and Janet Prunier, and their mom and dad, Aunt Leona and Uncle Bernard, special aunts, Theresa and Georgette Ledoux, and her mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Louis Belrose, and brothers-in-law, Marvin Belrose and Jim Concannon, and nephews, Tom Belrose and Mat Whittier

Friends and family will be invited to Andrea's life celebration to include a visitation on Tuesday, April 14th, from 6-8:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 15th at 11:00AM at the Church of the Nativity, 65 Canada Street, Swanton, VT 05488. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
