Andy John Martell Sr

BURLINGTON - Andy Martell Sr., age 64, passed away on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester. 

Andy was born on January 7, 1962 in Manhattan, Kansas to Donald and Rose (Mathieu) Martell.

Andy was a quiet man, often keeping to himself, he had a gentle spirit and was always around for family and friends. He dedicated many years to the culinary arts, serving as a devoted cook in the greater Burlington area. Most recently, Andy spent five fulfilling years at Henry's Diner, where his hard work and reliability endeared him to both colleagues and patrons alike.

Andy is survived by his wife, Marta Messias of Burlington; children, AJ Martell and his wife Jessica of Florida, Eric Braley of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Spencer Martell, Aliyah Martell, Michelle DeMars, Hailey Lancey, Jaelynn Lancey, Desiree King; great grandson, Kyson Kuhn; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Knochel; siblings, Donald Martell Jr and his wife Mary of Texas, Mark Martell and his wife Cindy of Florida, Roy Martell and his wife Denise of Washington, Paul Martell and his wife Donna of Mississippi, and Allie Martell of Vermont; special nephew, Ben Kay Jr.. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Donald Sr and Rose, and daughter, Nicole Martell.

Friends and family are invited to Andy's life celebration on Thursday, August 13th to include visitation from 3-4:00 with a memorial service following at 4:00PM. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
