MONTGOMERY - Anita M. Proulx, 93, a former longtime resident of Montgomery Center passed away on Monday morning, August 6, 2007 at Fairview Nursing Home, Hudson, NH.
Anita was born on September 22, 1913 in Tingwick, Quebec, the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie-Anna (Roux) Guillemette. She was married to Henry Proulx who died in 1970.
A resident of Montgomery Center for most of her life, Anita assisted in the operation of the family farm on Regan Road. She was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Montgomery Center, the St.Theresa and St. Annes Societies. She loved crafting, quilting, gardening, playing cards and the company of her family and friends. She made the best oatmeal cookies and pancakes in the Northeast.
Anita is survived by her children Roland (Kathleen) Proulx of Wayne, NJ, Denise (Emile) Maynard of Hudson, NH, Nicole (David) Lanpher of Hillsborough, NC, Ruth (Pierre) Royal of Lithia, FL, Michael (Susan) Proulx of Shingle Springs, CA, 13 beloved grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 8 sisters, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Anita was predeceased by a daughter Claudette Slade in 1980 and 4 brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Isidores Catholic Church in Montgomery Center. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Karl A. Hahr, Pastor. The family will also receive friends and family at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls on Saturday from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM Interment will follow in St. Isidores Cemetery in Montgomery Center. Friends are invited to call at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls on Friday, August 10 from 5:00 -8:00 PM.
