Sheldon/Richford - Barbara E. Snider, 78, a resident of Route 105 in Sheldon and former longtime resident of Richford passed away on Thursday morning, August 23, 2007 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Barbara was born on April 26, 1929 in Richford, the daughter of Earl and Linnie (Lumbra) Wright. She was a graduate of Richford High School. Her marriage to Edward Snider took place on June 9, 1951 in Pine Camp, NY.
Barbaras family was very important to her and she was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, shopping, dancing and going out to dinner. Barbara was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church in Richford for many years.
In addition to her husband, Edward, Barbara is survived by a daughter and her husband Joyce and Ray Hunt of Sheldon; 2 sons Norman Snider and his significant other Nancy West of Sheldon and Gary Snider of Richford; her grandchildren and great grandchildren Chad Snider and his wife Tracy of Richford and their children Ryan and Hayley and Christie Snider and her friend Shawn Hogaboom of Richford and Christies children Logan and Gage and great grandchildren Breanna Paquette and Bailey Brunelle; nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by a granddaughter Michelle Snider.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday , August 27 at 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Karl A. Hahr, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the Snider Family lot at All Saints Cemetery in Richford. Friends are invited to call at the Spears Funeral Home in Richford on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
