Becky Blow

November 10, 1956 — November 9, 2023

To say that Rebecca (Badger) Blow was a fighter is an understatement of the highest degree. After a lifetime of working in both manufacturing and customer service, all while raising six children, it’s safe to say she was a force to be reckoned with.

Even a life-changing diagnosis of COPD and a tough battle with throat cancer did little to hold her back. She remained a dynamic and multifaceted person with a dry sense of humor and a strong sense of family.

Becky passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 9, 2023, less than an hour from her 67th birthday.

Her favorite moments in life were those spent in the company of her husband, Stanley; her children, and her grandchildren.

In turn, she has been loved fiercely by all of us as well. So much so that in her last weeks, the living room of her home in Swanton was packed with an ever-changing cast of characters wishing to share in her final moments.

She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Stanley Blow Jr. of Swanton; her six children: Larry Moquin Jr. and wife, Meg, of Bow, N.H.; Crystal Blow of Milton; James Blow of Swanton; Steven Moquin and wife, Suzanne, of Milton; Heather Hubbard and husband, Tom, of Swanton; and Ada Lyman and husband, Tim, of Milton. Three of Becky’s eight siblings survive her: Steven Badger of Milton, Todd Badger of Monkton, and Susan Barron of Swanton.

Becky will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by both parents, Paul and Patricia Badger of Milton, as well as by five siblings: Richard Badger of Milton, Randy Badger of Carlisle, Ohio, Pamela Pratt of Jericho, Robyn Comstock of Colchester, and Paula Parker of Burlington.

A visitation for Becky will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488, follow-d by a get-together at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Swanton from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital, 111 Colchester Avenue Main Campus, East Pavilion, Level 4, Burlington, VT 05401 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
