Bethel Raymond

BERKSHIRE - Bethel A. Raymond, age 95, passed away on Thursday, February 15th, 2024 in St. Albans.

Bethel was born in Berkshire on March 25, 1928 to Moses Ryea and Evelyn Ducolon.

Bethel attended Bakersfield Elementary where she met the love of her life at a school dance. She went on to marry Hermie Raymond on August 15, 1948. Bethel had many hobbies including word searches, puzzles, knitting, crocheting, crafting, and embroidering. Bethel also enjoyed looking at cardinals and watching the squirrels chase each other. Bethel had a love for Maple, including candies, popcorn and ice cream.

Bethel is survived by her eight children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bethel was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Hermie Raymond, special companion Stanley Bray, one sister, and three brothers.

Family and friends will be invited to a graveside service this Spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Bakersfield.
