Beverley C. Champagne

September 5, 1935 — June 25, 2021

HIGHGATE SPRINGS – Beverley C. Champagne, age 85, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021 with her family by her side at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

She was born in Montreal, Quebec on September 5, 1935, to the late Charles & Margaret (Tompkins) Moore.

Bev was a proud Canadian citizen, who met the perfect American husband, Carlton Champagne, and the two united in marriage on March 31, 1962. Bev had three perfect children and raised them while always working full time. She devoted 43 years to her Medical Transcriptionist career. Starting at the St. Albans Hospital, then Kerbs and finally, Northwestern Medical Center. Bev also worked for Swanton Rexall Drugs for six years, serving her community with endless smiles and compassion. Her passion was her family and friends, nothing made “Nannie’s” heart fuller than to have family gatherings, share stories and enjoy good food. Especially her home-made lasagna! Bev traveled to Hawaii where she met Tom Selleck, Paris with her sister Valerie, enjoying a meal in New York City at Sardi’s Restaurant with her sister Margo, Maine, and trips to Disneyland in Orlando, Florida with Jessica. Bev was quite a dancer, she loved to have fun, shop every Saturday, watch Jeopardy, do crossword puzzles, and simply enjoyed life!

She is survived by her children, Kathy Champagne and her significant other Bill Davis of Highgate Springs, and Charlie Robinson and his wife Shirley of British Columbia; granddaughter, Jessica McClain, and her husband Chris of Hinesburg; grandson, Samuel Robinson and his wife Kristen of Edmonton, Alberta; great grandchildren, Jaedyn, Mason, Zander, Kaylin, Taylor and Jordyn; sister, Valerie Moore of Bedford, Que., son-in-law, Eugene “Dobie” Brace of Swanton; and a special friend of 84 years, Shirley Bristow of Victoria, B.C.; many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Besides her parents, Bev was predeceased by her husband, Carlton Champagne on July 28, 2006; her daughter, Karen Brace on March 18, 2021; her sister and brother-in-law, Margo and Brian Harris; and her stepmother, Margaret “Grandma” Moore.
