Brenda Lee Bryce, of Enosburg Falls, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after an 8 year battle with cancer on November 14, 2025. Born to Gary and Jay Lockerby on February 9th, 1974 in St. Albans, Vermont, Brenda entered this world with a spirit and heart full of will and strength that carried her throughout her life.
As a 1992 graduate from MVU, she finally found her niche at Chittenden Bank in Alburg, Vermont, which was later North Country Federal Credit Union, where she was a recognizable and loved member. She loved her job, community, and those that she worked with and encountered over her 15+ years at NCFCU.
In the fall of 2005, Brenda met the love of her life, Edward Bryce Sr, and moved to Enosburg in the spring of 2006. After love at first sight, the two married on May 12, 2007. They went on to complete their family, being blessed with two amazing children, Beth and Edward Jr.
Alongside her husband, Brenda dedicated her time and love to her family. Fishing days with her husband and kids were always sure to put a smile on her face. She spent summer days camping on her parent's lawn with her family, and looked forward to every barbecue, get-together, bonfire, and June Dairy Day weekend with her family and friends. Her heart was always filled in those moments, and she knew how to party. She loved the ocean, one of her favorite vacation spots to visit with her family. She always looked forward to her seafood feasts by the pier.
Christmas was her favorite time of year, holding annual Christmas cookie decorating days with her children, nieces, and nephews. She also always looked forward to baking cookies with her mother to make platters to pass out to family and friends. Everybody loved her baking and cooking. The most important Christmas time event to her heart was the annual Christmas Eve party held in her home, filled with family, food, and laughs.
She was a cherished and adored mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Anyone who knew her felt her love and strength, even when she felt weak herself. Her door was always open, and she was always sure to take care of others when they needed it. Every moment was dedicated to her children and husband, who will always remember how hard she fought, and will remember her strength. She fought every single day through cancer with determination and every ounce of fight she could give. She was bigger than cancer, and it could never touch her beautiful soul and fighting spirit, which she kept on this earth until her last breath. Brenda was a warrior.
Brenda is predeceased by: her sister, Beth Lockerby; maternal grandparents Phyllis and Gordon Jarvis; paternal grandparents Marion Lockerby, and Alvin and Betty Lockerby; In-Laws George and Margaret Bryce; and Sister-in-Law Fay Laden.
