Brian "Buzzy" Messier

EAST BERKSHIRE – Brian “Buzzy” Messier, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

He was born on January 24, 1943, in St. Albans to the late Ronald & Catherine (Fuller) Messier.

Buzzy was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Richford High School and went on to spend his working life in various roles, from welding and fabricating at Blue Seal to auto body work and finally carving out a name for himself in carpentry.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Messier; two sons, Edward Messier and his wife Emily Fecteau, and Richard Messier and his wife Mabel; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and his sister, Virginia Kinney and her husband Raymond.

Friends & family are invited to Buzzy’s life celebration to include a graveside memorial service at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Hillside Cemetery, Golf Course Rd., Richford, VT.
