Carmen E. Stevens

ENOSBURG FALLS – Carmen E. Stevens, age 76, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls.

 

She was born in Quebec, Canada on June 3, 1945 to the late Patrick & Helen (Beaudet) Lemay. Carmen was one of nine children, including two sets of twins.

 

Carmen’s family moved to Vermont to operate a dairy farm while she was in high school. As a French-Canadian family they would always play cards, a hobby she held on to. Carmen loved to cook, which blossomed into a career in food service. She also owned and operated a furniture store called Carmen’s Place for several years. Carmen spent her retirement years in Florida until her health limited her ability to do so.

 

She is survived by her son, Charles Jocelyn and his wife Maureen and their daughter Charlotte all of Milton; her siblings, Armande Gaudreau, Rachel Monks, Denise Martin, Helen Winters and her husband Ben, Marcel Lemay and his wife Mary Jane, and Dee Lavery and her husband Warren; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Carmen was predeceased by her siblings, Rene Lemay and Gisele Lemay.

 

There will be no public services for Carmen.
