MONTGOMERY - Carmi Watson Sonny Levis, Jr, age 78, passed away Wednesday evening June 11, 2008 at the Franklin County Rehab Facility in St. Albans.
He was born in Montgomery on October 26, 1929 the son of the late Carmi W. & Eve (Hoyt) Levis.
Sonny was a lifelong resident of Montgomery Center where he worked on the family farm. He enjoyed doing the field work, cutting logs, sugaring, digging potatoes and growing red roses. He enjoyed the time spent with his family, taking walks up 242, traveling the back roads with his Dad and siblings, picnics at Hazens Notch, going to the Champlain Valley Fair, going to the movies, sitting on the porch watching the stars and watching lightening storms.
He is survived by a sister, Ida Levis of St. Albans; a brother, Clinton Levis of Sheldon. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Hilda Levis, Helen Levis, Hallie (Levis) Grant, and Beverly Levis; brothers, Raymond Levis & Ralph Levis; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Grant.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in the Montgomery Center Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours
