Carolyn Peterson

January 8, 1946 — March 17, 2023

ALBURGH - Carolyn L. Peterson, age 77, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls.

 

She was born January 8, 1946 in St. Albans to the late Leopold A. & Ilene (Mitchell) Fournier.

 

Carolyn was a life-long resident of the area and married Robert Peterson on September 4, 1965. She stayed home to raise her children and had a love for animals, especially Morgan Horses. Carolyn loved spending time with her friends and family at her Lake Champlain camp on Pickle Point in West Swanton.

 

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Peterson and his wife Heather of Schuyler Falls, NY, Scott Peterson of St. Albans, and Stacey Peterson of Alburgh; grandchildren, Danielle, Cody, Nicholas, Hope & Colton; a great grandson, Robert; her brothers, John Fournier, and Allen Fournier and his wife Barb; sister-in-law, Kay Chamberlain and her husband Bob and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Robert Peterson; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Fournier.

 

Friends and family will be invited to Carolyn's life celebration to include visitation on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 11-12:00 PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT followed with a graveside memorial service at 12:30 PM at the West Swanton Cemetery, Campbell Bay Road, Swanton, VT.
