RICHFORD - Cedric L. Snider, age 84, passed away on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at the Northwestern Medical Center.
He was born in Westfield on December 4th, 1940, to the late Clifford and Theresa (Mayhew) Snider.
In addition to his family life, Cedric was an accomplished heavy equipment operator, a profession he took great pride in. He enjoyed working with machinery, excavating the earth, water dowsing and tackling any challenge that came his way. His passion for the outdoors also led him to relish hunting adventures that created lasting memories. In quieter moments, Cedric found joy in dancing and calling bingo, activities that brought laughter and happiness to his life.
Cedric is survived by the love of his life, Theresa (Ploof) Snider, who he married on October 26th, 1963. They raised 6 children together, Michael Snider and his wife Tracy, Mark Snider and his wife Viola, Brenda Lumbra and her husband Brent, Kimberly Dubie and her husband Richard, and Alicia LaRose and her husband Daniel. Also survived by his daughter-in-law, Cynthia Snider; grandchildren; Gregory and his partner Kari, Owen and his partner Clarisse, Wade and his partner Amanda, Justin and his wife Brianna, Timothy and his wife Jessica, Kyle, Alan, Melanie and her husband Josh, Wyatt, Jack, Mitchell and his wife Hannah, Matt and his partner Trista, Mary Ellen and her husband Landon; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Seavey; brothers, Frederick Snider and his wife Christine, Larry Snider and his wife Jane, Felix Snider and his wife Valerie, and Philip Snider and his wife Therese; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Cedric was predeceased by his son, John Snider; and his sister, Fredda Ploof and her husband, Edmond.
Family and friends are invited to Cedric's Life Celebration to include visitation on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, from 4-7:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main Street, Richford, VT. Interment will follow in the All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Richford.
