Chelsea Erno

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved sister, daughter, mother, and friend, Miss Chelsea Amber Erno. Chelsea passed away on July 27, 2025, she was 35 years young —a life far too short for a spirit so full.

Chelsea was born on a late autumn night, September 22, 1989, a quiet hour for a soul that would never be still. Fittingly, she was a night owl from the very beginning. While the world slowed down, her energy stirred. Some of her most joyful, thoughtful, and sincere moments came under the softness of moonlight. The quiet hours made space for her light to shine even brighter.

Chelsea was light-hearted and fun to be around, with a laugh you wouldn’t forget. Her beautiful, high cheekbones framed a smile that bloomed effortlessly, and her laughter came easy. Her spirit was magnetic—open, bold, and full of life.

She loved music, festivals, and concerts—always chasing moments of fun wherever they appeared. That was Chelsea: vibrant, fearless, and wholly herself.

She loved her children, Izaih and Aryah. They were lights in her life.

Chelsea lived with intensity, with heart, and with hope. She gave freely of herself to those she cared about and showed up—fully, honestly—even when it was hard. She stood fiercely for the people she loved and never let go of her belief in their goodness. Chelsea had a big heart—so big, it sometimes left her vulnerable but it’s also what made her radiant, unforgettable, and deeply loved.

Chelsea’s life was not easy. She learned to be strong as a child and carried that strength with her through every chapter. Her long and courageous journey with addiction was part of her story— but it was not the whole story. To know Chelsea was to know her humor, her tenderness, her strength, her pain, and her fight.

Loving Chelsea meant loving someone with addiction—a love that could be fierce, tender, and heartbreaking all at once. But it was love all the same. And even in her hardest seasons, the essence of who she was—her light—never fully disappeared. It flickered, often quietly, beneath the weight of her struggle, waiting to be seen and remembered by those who loved her most.

Chelsea wanted to live. She fought hard—for joy, for peace, for healing. And when she left this world, she was safe and wrapped in the love of her family.

We wish with all our hearts that Chelsea had found peace here. But we take comfort in knowing she is free now. She would want you to remember her laughter, her beautiful smile, and the moments of joy and light she left behind. Hold on to those memories. Share them. Let them remind you that even amidst struggle, beauty and love endure.

Chelsea was preceded in death by her father, David Erno; her brother, Joshua Erno; her aunt, Kimberly Goff; and her stepmother, Tammy Keener.

She is survived by her two beloved children, Izaih Zane Erno and Aryah Elizabeth Opra. She is also survived by her mother, Kelly Demag; her sister, Heather Bright, and Heather’s husband, David Greer; her brother, Micah Erno, and his partner, Michael Perry; her brother, David Erno, and his wife, Dominique Erno; her brother, Joel Erno; and her sister, Megan Erno. Chelsea also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry her memory forward with fierce affection and enduring love.

A Celebration of Life in Chelsea’s honor will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, Vermont. Visiting hours will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.

All who knew and loved Chelsea are welcome to attend. Please come as you are.

A private family burial will be held at a later date at Missisquoi Cemetery in Enosburg Falls; details to be announced.
