Cheryl Leach

ENOSBURG FALLS - Cheryl R. Leach, age 80, passed away peacefully at the UVM Medical Center on Friday, July 4th, 2025.

She was born on September 17th, 1944, in Richford, VT to the late Hollis & Beatrix (Gibson) Ruiter.

Cheryl graduated from Richford High school in 1962. Later that year, she married Allen Leach on October 17th, 1962. She was a proud farmer, dedicating her life to operating the Leach Farm in Enosburgh. Her passion for farming extended to gardening, where she nurtured vegetables and flowers. Cheryl was an avid reader and found joy in the pages of countless books. In her younger years, Cheryl enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycling, relishing the beauty of the Vermont landscape.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Allen Leach; son, William Leach and his wife Judith; grandchildren, Holly-Jo Bassett and her husband Scott, and Thomas Leach and his wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Kaelynn, Everett, Dillen, Arrissa and Gavin; siblings, Beverly Poissant, Pamela Morrison and her husband Norman, and Darry Ruiter. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was pre-deceased by her brother, Bruce Ruiter and his wife Charleen; and brother-in-law, Maurice Poissant.

Friends & family are invited to Cheryl's life celebration to include a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in Enosburgh Center Cemetery.
