It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Christine Marie (Gagne) Snider, age 89, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, who died on July 18, 2026.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1936, in Highgate, the daughter of Simeon and Bernadette Gagne. Christine married the love of her life Frederick H. Snider on Sept. 28, 1963. They built a life full of family, faith, work, and creativity and were married for 62 years.
She was a homemaker, a great seamstress and worked many years in the local sewing factories, business partner and accountant for Snider's Trucking and Snider's Sugar Shack, and a phenomenal cook.
She loved her children and grandchildren immensely and showed her love with lots of hugs and kisses and family gatherings. She will be remembered for her immense love of cooking, canning and sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren. She will also be remembered for cute sayings that she said since she had Dementia.
She is survived by her husband and best friend Frederick H. Snider, her children Celine LeClair, Henry and his wife Debbie, Jane Fletcher and her husband Byron, Lawrence, Anne Lagrow and her husband Frank, Lynne Kane and her husband Christopher, 24 grandchildren including a special (favorite) grandson Charles LeClair and 44 great grandchildren and counting with Miley Mae on the way, and her brother Harvey Gagne. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Jeanne D'arc, Bernard, Adrien, Andre and Leonard Gagne, a son in law William LeClair, granddaughter Veronica Snider and great grandson Bradley Fletcher.
Friends & family are invited to Christine's life celebration on Thursday July 23, 2026, to include visitation from 4pm to 7 pm at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church Enosburg Falls Vt. on Friday, July 24th at 11:00 am . Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery Richford Vt.
Her love remains a guiding presence for all who knew her.
