Clifford Snider

RICHFORD - Clifford L. Snider, age 92, passed away Thursday evening August 30, 2007 at the Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls.
\tClifford was born August 1, 1915 in Lowell, VT the son of the late Harry & Mae (Ducharme) Snider.
\tClifford was a resident of Richford most of his life and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and was also a member of the church choir since 1947 and the Knights of Columbus Council #2610. He enjoyed singing and sugaring.
\tHe started farming in 1942 when he purchased the farm on the Wightman Hill Rd. In 1947 he also started a trucking business hauling milk for United Farmers and hauling logs hay for area farmers and neighbors. His sons continue to operate the trucking business today. He retired from farming in 1988.
\tClifford served as a state representative for the Town of Richford from 1975-76. He was a trustee of the Vermont Electric Corporation and was a board member of United Farmers, Yankee Milk and Agri-Mark.
\tHe is survived by his children and their spouses, Cedric & Theresa A. Snider of Richford, Frederick & Christine Snider of Richford, Fredda & Edmond Ploof of East Berkshire, Geraldine & Darrell Seavey of Wolcott, Larry & Jane Snider of Derby, Felix & Valarie Snider of Richford, and Philip & Therese C. Snider of Richford; 35 Grandchildren, 64 Great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ralph Snider and his wife Theresa B. of Montgomery Center, and Edward Snider of Sheldon; his sister, Marguerite Warner and her husband Alvin of Lowell; several nieces and nephews; 2 sistersin-law, Betsy Snider of Montgomery Center, and Theresa K. Snider of Derby. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Theresa D. (Mayhew) Snider on May 17, 1993. They were married December 26, 1939. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mabel Baraw; 3 brothers, Raoul, Ernest, and Leland Snider.
\tFuneral services will be held Monday September 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
\tVisiting hours will be held Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls,
