SHELDON - Cody J. Aldrich was born on August 11, 1994. He passed away on October 2, 2025 after months of battling illness.
Cody entered this world hell on wheels and ready to conquer it all. And he spent his life doing just that. He was hard-working and loyal almost to a fault. He rarely asked for help but was always there if someone needed him. It didn't matter what it was, he never backed down, if you asked him, he was there. He had a way of lighting up any room he entered with his big smile, incredible sense of humor, and outgoing, friendly personality. Cody had a love for animals that was almost as great as his love for the woods and nature. In his spare time, you could find him hunting, fishing, walking in the woods, or tinkering on whatever project he found himself wrapped up in. He was a man capable of anything, if it could be fixed, he'd try. If it could be driven, he would. If it sounded like fun, he wanted to do it. self-preservation, not really his thing, hardheaded... maybe a little, both of which could cause some aggravation, but it was impossible to stay mad when he would flash that mischievous grin with the little twinkle in his eye. He loved hard and unconditionally. Cody was a true friend to anyone lucky enough to have him in their lives.
After graduation, Cody spent some time working in the concrete field, then a bit of time in pipe fitting. From there he tried working at the pulp mill, and then he went back to work in pipe fitting and that is where he found his true calling. He got his pipe fitter license and became a job foreman.
On September 18, 2021, Cody (Candy Man) married his best friend and love of his life Miranda (Love Bug). They bought land in Berkshire in 2021. They purchased their first home, a 125-year-old farmhouse, in 2024 and were in the process of restoring it when Cody passed away.
Despite the hardships and struggles Cody faced throughout his life, Cody remained a kind, caring and compassionate man with a heart of gold.
