SWANTON – Corey Parizo, age 44, passed away on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, at the Northwestern Medical Center.
Born on May 3, 1981, in Burlington, Vermont, Corey was a dedicated son, cherished brother, loving father, and a valued friend to many.
He spent much of his time exploring the great outdoors, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. Corey was a hard worker, proudly serving the Maple Run School District for over a decade in maintenance, where his commitment to excellence was evident in everything he did. He was known for his friendly demeanor and his willingness to lend a helping hand, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community. Beyond his professional life, Corey found joy in the simple pleasures. He was an avid arm wrestler, fearless in spirit, and always eager to take on a challenge. His love for his two dogs, Cash and Floyd, who brought him endless joy and companionship, showcased his gentle and affectionate nature.
Corey is survived by his daughter, Chloe Parizo and her partner, Ethan Sottile; son, Colton Woods; life partner, Cassandra Olson; mother, Carmaletta Parizo; sister, Rayna Harrison; aunts and uncles, Ron Parizo and his wife, Karen, Lori Parizo, Bill Parizo and his wife Nancy, Helen Parizo and partner, Cassy Lamothe, Ronda Parizo; and many cousins and extended family and friends. Corey was predeceased by his uncle, David Parizo, and brother in law, Jeremy Olson.
Friends and family will be invited to Corey’s life celebration to include a visitation on Saturday, August 30th from 11:00AM -1:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home. A memorial service will follow at 1:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. Interment will follow in Grand Isle Cemetery, US Route 2.
