Daniel Brown

UNDERHILL - Daniel Allen Brown passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, embarking on his next great adventure while surrounded by his sister Kelly, her husband Tom, and his dear friend Chas.

Dan was a private man who possessed a brilliant mind and a quick wit. At times he could be abrasive, but beneath his tough exterior was a deeply kind and compassionate soul, always willing to help someone in need.

Throughout his life, Dan became highly skilled in many pursuits, including photography, scuba diving, Aikido, fly fishing, and fly tying. Of all his passions, fishing brought him the greatest joy. He cast his lines in waters stretching from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to the rivers and streams of Maine. For Dan, a perfect day began wading into a wild river with a fly rod in hand and ended beside a campfire under a sky full of stars.

Dan is survived by his siblings, Cindy Jacobs (Phil), Peter Brown (Anne), and Kelly Ward (Tom); and by his children, Jeremiah Brown and Kellington Brown.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to the palliative care team at UVM Medical Center for their compassionate care and support during Dan's final days.

In keeping with Dan's generous spirit, memorial donations may be made to any organization dedicated to helping those in need.

In accordance with Dan's wishes, there will be no formal services.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him, and may his next great adventure be filled with calm waters, bright stars, and tight lines.
