RICHFORD - Daniel E. Button Sr., age 46, passed away on December 10th, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Daniel was born on December 19th, 1978, in St. Albans, Vermont to Sylvia Boylan.
He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Dorcas Button, whom he married on May 30th, 2009, at Davis Park in Richford, Vermont. Daniel's love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he will be profoundly missed by those who knew him.
Daniel was a master craftsman in carpentry within the construction industry, where his strong hands built not just structures, but lasting connections with those around him. While his work was important, it was his passions that truly defined him. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or ice fishing on a crisp winter day, Daniel found solace in nature. He had that quintessential way of making each moment spent camping or four-wheeling an unforgettable adventure. He was often found tinkering under the hood of a car, transformed into all things mechanical, alongside his dear friend Jason. Music was a steadfast companion to Daniel, setting the soundtrack for many cherished family gatherings.
Above all, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his beloved family, especially his granddaughters, who meant everything to him. Daniel was a friend to all. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand, whether it was to help neighbors with home repairs or to support friends in their times of need.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 16 years and 8 months, Dorcas Phillips; children, Jayden Button, Daniel Button Jr., and Destiny Holmes and her significant other, Garret Raymo; step-daughter, Kyly Ott and her significant other, Aaron Brunton; grandchildren, Nivea Lavallee, and Morgan Raymo; mother, Sylvia Boylan; mother-in-law, Cheryl Phillips; best friend/brother, Jason Bessette; and best friends, Phil Walker, Eli Kelley, and Ryan Stanhope.
Friends and family are invited to Daniel's life celebration on Saturday, December 20, 2025 to include visitation from 2-4:00 PM followed with a funeral service at 4:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT.
