Daniel A. Lavigne

SWANTON – Daniel A. Lavigne, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2021, with his loving family by his side at his home in Swanton.

He was born in Swanton on October 21, 1946, to the late George & Rose (Downey) Lavigne.

Dan will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a big game trophy hunter and fisherman. Dan was well known in the community for butchering game and livestock for local friends. Nancy was committed to being by his side doing her job as the meat wrapper. Dan always looked forward to his annual hunting trips to Maine with his friends. He loved to cook, and he had “the gift to gab” which typically included lots of hunting stories. Dan not only loved to hunt and fish, but he loved to pass on tricks of the trade and lessons to his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers or contributions, Dan’s family wishes that you teach a kid a to hunt!

Dan’s family is honoring his wishes with no public services.
