Denise LaCoste

ENOSBURG FALLS- Denise K. LaCoste, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington.

She was born in St. Albans on July 24, 1964 to the late Joseph Root Sr. and Florence (St. Pierre).

Denise grew up in several parts of Vermont but found her forever home in the heart of her husband Dana LaCoste. The two were married at the Sheldon casino on May 20, 2000, and were always together from then on. Denise worked as a prep cook for over 10 years at McDonalds in St. Albans until her illnesses made it too difficult. From a young age, Denise collected countless Breyer horses which she used to decorate her home. Denise was also a collector of back-up items, she never wanted to run out of everyday supplies! She loved listening to rock n roll and country music and was able to attend many WOKO Country Parties, along with a Toby Keith Concert with Dana by her side. Denise also enjoyed watching and reading the Little House on the Prairie series along with Gunsmoke in more recent years. She was a jokester at heart and loved to make people laugh, she was generous, caring, and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 23 years, Dana LaCoste of Enosburg Falls; siblings, Joseph Root Jr. of Richford, and Roseann Root of Swanton; siblings-in-law, Dwayne LaCoste and his wife Rosemarie of Enosburg Falls, and Denneen Wolcott and her husband David of Fairfax; her pen pal for over 42 years, Shirley Frank; and her beloved cats, Blackie & Calie. Besides her parents, Denise was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Linda LaCoste, and Dorothy Jean Root.

In keeping with Denise's wishes there will be no services.
