Richard Fuller

October 17, 1944 — April 16, 2023

BERKSHIRE- Richard "Dick" Fuller, left to go fishing on April 16, 2023.

He was born in Vergennes on October 17, 1944 to the late Julius Donald and Viola (Catella) Fuller.

Dick was a handful right away, losing his leg at age 9 playing on the trains. This led to his handle of "Pegleg" in later years as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

He loved to drink his bubbly bud and play pool wherever he could. In later years, it was in his friends home bar, "The Finish Line" with Johnny Johnson, Chad Johnson, and Jeff Donna.

Dick was a truck driver most of his working life, ending his career as owner of RL Fuller & Son Trucking. When not driving he was often found fishing and knew all the best "secret" smelt spots.

He is survived by his love & best friend of 55 years Sheila (Comings) Fuller; his son & namesake, Richard Fuller II, and his daddy's girl, Janet St. Hilaire and her husband Clem; granddaughter, Shauna Larose; two great granddaughters Sophia St. Hilaire, and Bailey Martin; siblings Pam Scott and husband Dean, Julie Stevens, Melanie Savio and her husband Joe, and Kathy Tabor; sisters-in-law, Judy Comings, and Gloria Fuller.

Special nephews, David Couture and Eddie Charbonneau; along with special nieces, Heidi Wright and Marianne Charbonneau; and many more nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Julius Donald & Viola Fuller; parents-in-law, Richard & Doris Comings. Also awaiting his arrival are his siblings: Mike Fuller, Ronald & Gloria Fuller, Bill Fuller, Paul Catella, Darlene (Fuller) Burnor, Diana (Fuller) Lacey and Donna (Fuller) & Chet Brookings.

His best buddies, his two black labs, Billie & Suzie will be waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.

We know he is finally at peace & doing what he loved to do best by his last words "I'm going fishing with dad".

In keeping with Dick's wishes there will be no services.
