RICHFORD - Duane E. Friot, age 77, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born in Highgate on October 2, 1942 to the late George Putnam & Margaret Friot.
Duane worked on the Doe and King farms for many years. He also drove truck for McDermotts and Starr Transportation.
He is survived by his children, Rodwin Friot Sr. and his wife Stephanie of Berkshire, Scott Friot and his significant other Jo-Ann Audette of Richford, Jody Friot and wife Karry of Enosburg, Randy Friot of Berkshire, and Melissa Friot of Winchester, NH; grandchildren, Rodwin Jr. and Tyler Friot, Bradly and Bree Conger; great grandchildren, Easton Conger, and Lilith, Sidney, and Mahkale Friot; siblings, Jim Bellevue of Richford, Laura Boston and her husband Gary of Tallahassee, FL, and Cathy Garrow and her husband Larry of Richford; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Duane was predeceased by his grandchildren, Shelby, and Josh; and his brother, Tom.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 3-5:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
