Dylan Leavitt

August 8, 1999 — February 18, 2023

ENOSBURG- Dylan M. Leavitt, (23) moved on to new adventures February 18, 2023.  His time here on Earth was done and what a time it was!

The Seasons called to him to play and he made himself available for every single one.  From steering tractor during haying season at 2, wielding a chainsaw for spring cleanup age 12, hunting seasons, Dylan had the uncanny ability to learn skills at early ages. He had a knowledge that many questioned until you knew whom he was at his depths. Confident with a deep knowing of his own limits, he moved through life with an ease and skill that was admirable.  He would extend a helping hand to anyone that had been fortunate to make it into his inner circle.  He surrounded himself with a family of friends that reflected all of what he represented; kindness, passion, respect, true to oneself and the ability to have fun. His life was so full of music, numerous hobbies all involving skills, speed & adrenaline.  Dylan kept his family & friends safe with the sense of: You're welcome to come in but, check your shi*t at the door.  There was no room for anything outside of authenticity.  He reminded us to take the time for those that needed us; to deal with only with what was in front of you & if you're going to do anything, do it with all the expression of who you are.

He will continue to offer his spirit to those that he leaves here on Earth: His mother, Michelle Helms & his father Garth Leavitt; his brothers Gavyn, Bryce & Skyler, his Papa Jacques & Grandma Claire, Papa Bud, Aunts, Uncles & cousins on both sides of the border. His chosen family in no particular order: Leighton, Jonas, Elijah, Zach, Josh, Lewis, Q, Isaac, Izzy, Kyra, Riley, Kayla, Tina, Kelby, Tyler, Jimmy, Cota, Nick, Brendan, Lucien, Natasha, & Brandan.   A crew of Cold Hollow Neighbors, Alan & D, Tara & Family; Terry & Ruth, Evan, Jason & the Branon Crew, The Erickson's, The Ferraro’s that took care of him & he would return the favor in a moment’s notice.  He was greeted by his Uncle Shawn, Grandma Mary, Avery & Adam.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will take place Friday, February 24th, 2023, from 4-7:00PM the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT 05450.

A Celebration of Life for Dylan will be held at the Branon Sugar House in the Spring. Date to be determined.
