Eleonore Traynor, age 93, passed away on Friday, June 6th, 2025 in Essex surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Polling, Germany on June 15, 1931 to Ludwig and Viktoria (Klopfer) Kirchbichler.
Eleonore embraced the beauty of life with unwavering spirit and love. After obtaining her U.S. citizenship, she was a proud resident of Vermont, she leaves behind a legacy woven with kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family.
Eleonore dedicated her career to the art of printing at Offset Printing, where her meticulous work and dedication were greatly valued. Her true passion flourished in her home, where she lovingly tended to her vibrant flower gardens and crafted delightful food for her family. Her family recipes were a favorite, especially her rich, delectable apple strudel, and traditional German Rouladen and Stollen.
A woman of remarkable independence and stubbornness, Eleonore's spirited personality will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She enjoyed the quiet joys of knitting, often creating beautifully pieces. Family was her greatest treasure; she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who held her relatives close to her heart.
Eleonore is survived by her three children, Lorinda Michaud of Milton, VT, Heidi Malarchik of Sierra Vista, AZ, and William Pelkey of Coalville, UT; 23 grandchildren; stepchildren, Robert Traynor of Tuscon, AZ, Mary Traynor Gates of Taylorsville, IN, and Rose Traynor of New Hampshire; 63 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert Traynor, grandson, Nicholas Malarchik, and stepson, Michael Traynor.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery, 487 Furnace Road, Randolph, VT 05061.
