Elvin Lee Sweet

Sep 24, 1975 — Aug 10, 2026

Elvin Sweet, 50, passed away on August 10, 2026, after a hard-fought and courageous battle with cancer. Born September 24, 1975, Elvin lived a life that was anything but ordinary.

Elvin was a hardworking man and a true jack-of-all-trades. Whether he was farming, working on cars, fixing things, or working on one of his many projects, there was very little he couldn't figure out. He was a free spirit who loved living life on the edge and making the most of every adventure that came his way.

Elvin enjoyed riding, working on his toys, spending time outdoors, and simply enjoying life. He had a wild and adventurous spirit that made him unforgettable to those who knew him.

Above all else, Elvin loved his children. His kids were one of the most important parts of his life. The time they spent together and the memories they created will remain in their hearts forever.

Elvin is survived by his beloved children, Jesse Sweet, Leeann Sweet of Northfield, VT; Dylan Sweet, and his partner, Corrine, of St. Albans, VT; Eric Sweet and his wife, McKayla Sweet, of Swanton, VT; Colby Sweet; and Shelby Sweet.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Javier, Kingston, Phoenix, Noah, McKynlee, Laynee, Paisley, Layton, and Raeylnn, who will carry his memory with them always.

Elvin is also survived by his siblings, brother Scott Lavallee, sister Kay Sweet, and sister Kathy Hope.

Elvin was predeceased by his parents, Melvin Sweet and Martha Wetherby.

Elvin's wild spirit, adventurous heart, hardworking nature, and deep love for his family will never be forgotten. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories, stories, laughter, and love he left behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rest easy, Elvin. Your adventures may have ended, but your memory will live on forever.
