Ernest Anthony Laroche

Ernest Antoine Laroche, age 75 of Swanton, VT passed away at home with the comfort of family on June 28, 2026. 

Ernest was born July 31, 1950 to Laurent and Germaine Laroche. He grew up in Highgate, Vermont with his siblings Julian, Pauline, and Diane. Ernest served nine years in the National Guard and went on to spend 30 years as an engineering technician at IBM. 

He married his Swan Loretta Lampman on December 18, 1971. They raised a daughter and built a full life. Ernie and Lori enjoyed taking many trips together. 

Ernest is survived by his wife Lori, daughter Melissa, granddaughters Brooke and Brittany, and his dear niece Jessie. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Ernest loved taking care of his birds and his beautiful lawn. He always had a story to tell and a joke to share. He had a strong love of history and vintage cars. Ernest will be remembered as a man of strength, who cared deeply for his family. 

 No services will be held. A celebration of life will take place amongst close family on Ernests' birthday.
