Estelle Favero

June 18, 1932 — January 12, 2024

SWANTON - Estelle Denise Favero, a pillar of strength and grace, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on January 12, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on June 18, 1932, to Leonard and Marie (Veillette) Bechard, Estelle spent her early years on a farm in Georgia, Vermont, and later moved to St Albans to attend Holy Angels school.

Estelle's journey evolved with many roles but first and foremost, she was a devoted mom and loving wife. Her life was a testament to the unwavering love and dedication she poured into her family. Family gatherings and attending events with her loved ones brought Estelle immeasurable joy and happiness.

Her roots in Georgia, Vermont, instilled in her a deep appreciation for hard work and a sense of familial connection. As she transitioned from her early years in Georgia to attending Holy Angels school in St Albans, Estelle continued to carry these values with her.

Professionally, she excelled as a bookkeeper at Benoits Auto and later found fulfillment working at Customs Border Patrol until her well-deserved retirement. During retirement, Estelle dedicated her time to volunteering for Meals on Wheels and Bingo at the Church of the Nativity.

Estelle was known for her strong faith in God and her love of the church. She was a devout member of the Church of the Nativity and Saint Anne's Shrine in the summer, finding solace and joy in her spiritual journey.

Estelle is survived by her cherished family, including her husband Lanny and their children Joseph Favero (spouse Patricia), Michelle Favero, Denise Cartelli (spouse Robert), and David Favero (spouse Stephanie). Her legacy extends through her grandchildren Nicholas Favero, Christopher Favero, Rachel Beaton, and Marissa Beaton. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her loving husband, parents, and siblings, Estelle was preceded in death by her sisters Cecile Leduc, Marie Lamothe, Fernande Vosburgh, Lorraine Laba, Theresa Gervais, and brothers Jean Paul Bechard, Rev Bernard Bechard SSE, and Germain Bechard.

The family invites friends and well-wishers to join them for visitation on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 5-8:00 PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, Vermont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity, 65 Canada Street, Swanton, Vermont.
