ENOSBURG FALLS – Everett C. Corey, age 77, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at his home in Enosburg Falls.
He was born in St. Albans on February 5, 1944 to the late Percy & Ethel (McGowan) Corey.
Everett grew up in Fairfield on the family farm, Oak Acres, where he cared for lots of livestock, his favorite cows being, Ayrshires. He enjoyed going to lawn sales, farm auctions especially Fournier’s and collecting Native American items, specifically wolves and dream catchers. Everett loved spending time with his family, especially his little buddy and grandson, Taylor. He also had an incredible bond with his beloved five cats, Toby, Smokey, Squirt, Missy and Nitro.
Everett is survived by two daughters, Connie Corey of East Fairfield, and Tammy Corey of St. Albans; grandchildren, Samantha, Logan, Lesley & Brian; his partner, Catherine Commo and her son, Frank Benway of Enosburg Falls; his little buddy, Taylor Miller; life-long friend, Linda Corey of East Fairfield; siblings, Cecile Hutchins, and Iona Reed and her husband Robert; sister-in-law, Joyce Corey of Fairfield; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Everett was predeceased by his siblings, Merton Corey, Ruby Minor and her husband Tom, Lyndon Corey, and Ruth Jerger and her husband Alfred; brother-in-law, Clyde Hutchins; and nieces, Marion & Marie Minor.
Friends and family are invited to Everett’s Life Celebration to include the following events on Monday, August 9, 2021. Visitation will be held from 12–1:00 PM at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, also at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home. Interment will follow in St. Albans Bay Cemetery, Lake Street, St. Albans, VT 05478.
