Florence A. Fournier

SOUTHWICK, MA / SWANTON, VT - Florence A. Fournier, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Alvin L. Pete Fournier.

Florence was born as Margie Adele Florence Theoret on February 1, 1931 in Jericho, VT to the late Alphonse & Eliene (La Fevre) Theoret.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved spending her summers on Lake Champlain. She will be deeply missed by all who shared her life, and our prayers go with her as she begins her new life in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Florence leaves behind her two sons, Richard Fournier and his wife Pat and their daughter Corrissa of Holyoke MA, and Thomas Fournier and his wife Lynne and their sons Paul and Timothy T.J. of Feeding Hills, MA; 9 siblings, Aline, Madeline, Lorraine, Alma, Louise, Lawrence, Maurice, Raymond, and Michael and many nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Pete Fournier and her brother, Gerald.

Florences family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver, Michelle Costa, and the entire staff from the American Inn in Southwick, MA for the loving care and kindness she received.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Church of the Nativity, Canada St., Swanton, VT. Interment will follow in the West Swanton Cemetery, Campbell Bay Rd., Swanton.

Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9-10:30 AM at Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT.
