WILLISTON - Frances Marie Robertson, age 87, widow of Duncan G. Robertson, passed away Friday September 21, 2007 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.
\tShe was born March 31, 1920 in Utica, New York the daughter of the late
George & Blanche (Carey) James.
\tFrances was a resident of Williston since 1984 and was a former resident of Shelburne, VT and Keeseville, NY and in the early 1980s spent her winters in Apollo Beach, FL. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star LaPlotte Chapter 64 of Charlotte and was a former member of the United Methodist Church of Shelburne. For many years she helped her husband operate the D.G. Robertson Vault Company in Keeseville which had been founded in 1948 and is now operated by their son in South Burlington. Frances enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and traveling especially this time of year to look at the foliage. Most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
\tShe is survived by her children and their spouses, Duncan G. Robertson Jr. and Eby of Seabring, FL, David R. Robertson and Christine of Montreal, Quebec Canada, and Donald S. Robertson and Patricia of Williston; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; a sister Marjorie Jones and her husband Milo of Winter Springs, FL. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Duncan G. Robertson on June 15, 1984; they were married on June 25, 1938; and a brother, Arthur James.
\tFuneral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. She will be interred at the Skinner Cemetery in Vernon Center, NY
