GEORGIA - Harold L. Butch Mooney, age 59, passed away Sunday April 1, 2007 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
\tHe was born October 2, 1947 in Florida the son of Evelyn (Snide) Mooney and the late Gerald Mooney.
\tButch was a resident of the Franklin County and Buffalo, NY most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Butch enjoyed watching western movies, playing poker, reading western novels, watching football & wrestling with his sons, and fishing. Butch spent countless hours as a patient and volunteer at the V.A. in White River Jct., Ft. Ethan Allen & Buffalo, NY, where he had many friends.
\tHe is survived by 2 sons, David Smith, his wife Jessica and their children, Kaitlin Smith & Tyler Richards of Highgate, and Charles Mooney his companion Bobbi Jo Desrochers and their children Tim & Ryli Desrochers & Damian Mooney of St. Albans; a step-son, Shaun St. Francis his wife Shelly and their children, Mark Buddy , Dominic, Desiree, Briana, Monica & Olivia of St. Albans; his mother, Evelyn Mooney of San Diego, CA; 3 sisters, Susan Javery of San Diego, CA, Patricia Meyers and her husband Lee of Milton, and Lillian Barry of Quincy, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a daughter, Laurie Mooney; 2 grandchildren, Zachary Smith & Isabel Rose Smith
\tIn keeping with Butchs wishes he will be cremated. There will be no public funeral services or visiting hours. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the St. Georges cemetery in Bakersfield
