Jack Carpenter

BAKERSFIELD - Jack A. Carpenter, age 72, passed away on June 25th, 2025, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, VT, surrounded by his loved ones.

Jack was born on April 21st, 1953, in St. Albans to the late George Carpenter Sr. and Geraldine (Tibbits) Godin.

Jack was a proud Army veteran who always enjoyed an adventure. Jack had a zest for life that was infectious, and he cherished every moment spent outdoors. Whether it was sugaring, riding ATVs, or embarking on trips to New Hampshire, Jack's spirit for exploration was unmatched. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and skiing, with countless weekends spent camping at the Fryeburg and Brookside campgrounds, where laughter echoed through the trees. Jack's laughter and love for life will be deeply missed but are forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

Jack is survived by his wife, Judith Martin; children, Sean Carpenter and his wife Chelsea, and Kari Carpenter and her husband Greg; grandchildren, Fletcher, Remi, Trenton, Gracie and Gretchen; siblings, George Carpenter Jr. and his wife Jayne and Betsy Carpenter Holcomb; several step-brothers and step-sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Jack was pre-deceased by his infant son, Todd Carpenter; his father, George Carpenter Sr. and his wife Doris; and his mother, Geraldine Godin and her husband Henry.

Jack's family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Viola Snider and Dianne Tibbits for their help and support, and the staff at the Northwestern Medical Center and the McClure Miller Respite House for their exceptional care and their supportive environment.

Friends and family are invited to Jack's life celebration on Friday, July 11th, 2025, to include visitation from 1-3:00 PM followed with a memorial service at 3:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT.
