SHELDON - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jacob Andrew King, our beloved son and brother who left this world too soon at the age of 21 on December 26, 2025. Born on October 22, 2004, in St. Albans, the son of Andy & Miranda (Martel) King, Jacob was a spirited soul who illuminated the lives of all who knew him.
A graduate of MVU, from a young age Jacob had an undeniable passion for aviation. He found joy in working as an air frame assembler for Beta Technologies, where his talent and enthusiasm shone brightly. Known for his infectious smile and charming sense of humor, Jacob could light up any room and bring laughter to even the simplest gatherings.
Jacob was never one to shy away from speed or adventure. From four-wheelers to dirt bikes and motorcycles, he reveled in anything that had an engine. He was driven and competitive, qualities that carried him through basic training with the U.S. Army, where he had just completed his initial training as a 15T UH60 Helicopter Mechanic.
Loved ones will remember Jacob for his eclectic tastes - music, art, and his adventurous spirit. He was an accomplished musician and could play the drums, trombone, and many other instruments - they all came naturally to him. He had a unique ability to connect with everyone, whether they were children or elders, friends or strangers. Jacob forged relationships effortlessly and created lasting bonds that will be missed by many. Jacob was a man of faith and had a strong relationship with his Heavenly Father. He was baptized in 2023 and went on mission trips to Honduras where he had amazing experiences.
He leaves behind his loving parents, Andy & Miranda King; his beloved sister, Emily King and her significant other Robert Meier; grandparents, Berta King, Marie Martel, and Robert Martel; aunt & uncles, Bruce King Jr., Sara King, Michael King, Heath Martel and his wife Sheree, and Lance Martel and his wife Jennifer; many cousins and close friends, especially Brennan, Raven, Connor, Gabe, and Seth. Jacob was predeceased by his grandfather, Bruce King Sr., and his uncle, Jonathon King.
