ISLE LA MOTTE - Jane L. Zera, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in Plainfield, Vermont on February 20, 1949 to the late Roland & Phyllis (Codling) Christiansen.
Jane married Paul on November 26, 1978. They enjoyed five memorable trips to Hawaii together. She truly found joy in helping kids. She worked as a travel agent, substitute teacher and most recently as guardian ad litem for the Grand Isle County Courthouse. She loved gardening, bird watching, crocheting, sewing, making crafts to sell at craft fairs and spending time with the family pets, Wilson, the dog, and the seven birds.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Zera; a son, Mark Zera, and his wife, Toree; two grandchildren; siblings, David, Bobby, Alan, Richard, Karen and Nancy; and several nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
