RICHFORD – Jay A. Carruth, age 54, of Richford passed away at home on Monday, October 4, 2021.
He was born in Rutland on September 1, 1967 to Donald & Rose (Freeman) Carruth.
Jay or “Hey Man” as his friends called him worked off and on for Lussier’s Sawmill for 25 years. He made many friends throughout his time there. He enjoyed listening to music, and working on cars.
He is survived by his mom, Rose Carruth of Richford; two siblings, Pamela Carruth, and Scott Carruth both of Richford; a half-brother, Dickie Ritchie of Rutland; aunts, Sylvia Nerker and her husband Alfred of New York, and Rena Colburn and her husband James of Castleton; close friends, Kerry Hall and Brian Ives, all of his co-workers from Lussier’s Sawmill; and several nieces, nephews & cousins. Jay was predeceased by his father, Donald Carruth; brother, Paul Carruth; nephew, Shelby Friot Carruth; and his grandmothers, Beatrice Freeman, and Gloria Carruth-Printy.
In keeping with Jay’s wishes there will be no services.
