RICHFORD - Jennie May Hayes, age 78, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning January 27, 2007 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
\tShe was born May 7, 1928 in Richford the daughter of the late Perley & Edith (Payne) Button.
\tJennie was a life long resident of Richford. She had worked at the American House in Richford, Carneys Restaurant in Enosburg Falls, and Ben Franklin in Enosburg Falls. Jennie was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister & friend who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, visiting with her sisters, and taking walks with her friends around the village. In her younger years she enjoyed knitting. She married the love of her life, Donald C. Hayes on November 17, 1956. He predeceased her on July 24, 1989
\tShe is survived by her children, Timothy Hayes and his companion Marguerite Panko of Enosburg, and Tammy Adamczak and her husband Gregory of Richford; her grandchildren, Traver Hayes, Travis Hayes, Tonya Hayes her companion Eddie Robtoy, David Hayes, Britney Adamczak, and Brenden Adamczak; her great grandson, Kolten Robtoy; her sisters, Dorothy Mitson of Cowansville, Que., Patty Young and her husband Jim of Orlando, FL, & Verna Gately of Montreal, Que.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by 2 infant sons; 1 brother, Clair Button; and a brother-in-law, Gradon Mitson.
\tFuneral services will be held Wednesday afternoon January 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will be held next spring in the Richford Center Cemetery.
\tA time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
