JoAnne Marian Foell

SWANTON - JoAnne Foell, age 67, passed away on Monday, August 10th, 2026.

She was born on January 3rd, 1959 in Bristol, CT to Raymond and Pauline (Chevalier) Paré. JoAnne grew up in Swanton before settling in Burlington, where she raised her family and spent the rest of her life.

JoAnne embraced early motherhood as a dedicated and nurturing stay-at-home mother for years before building a respected career as a network technician at the University of Vermont for over 3 decades. She took pride in her work, especially knowing it helped provide her children the opportunity to pursue higher education at UVM.

Handy with tools and equipped with the skill to make family-favorite dishes like her notable chicken broccoli casserole, JoAnne loved taking care of her home and creating a welcoming space for those she loved. Raised in a tight-knit family, she remained close to her parents and siblings throughout her life. In her final years, JoAnne carried herself with quiet strength, grace, and resilience.

She is survived by her mother, Pauline Paré; her son, Charles Foell III (Rocio); her daughter, Ashleigh Franco (Fabio); her four cherished grandchildren, Carlos, Breno, Sofia, and Isabela; and her siblings, Karen Bouthillette, Kathryn Cain (Paul), Kevin Paré (Tammy), and John Paré (Kristie).

She was predeceased by her father, Raymond Paré.

Services will be held privately at the family's convenience.
