Joey Longe

Enosburg Falls- Joey L Longe, at the age of 44, passed away suddenly, from a Heart Attack.

Joey was born in Saint Albans, VT on May 18th, 1981 to Steven & Janet (Weld) Longe.

Joey was born and raised in Enosburg on his parents' dairy farm. Joey graduated from Enosburg Falls Highschool in 1999. Once Joey graduated, he helped out on the family farm, then he decided to go VTC for farm management. He spent a year learning at VTC. He then came home and worked on the farm, until he discovered his love for various factory jobs. He was currently employed through Barry Callebaut. Although Joey never had any children, he always looked at his dog Zeus, as his child.

Joey's love for rifle hunting will never be forgotten. He had just built a shooting shack with his dad and his Uncle Pat. For this year's upcoming hunting season. Several years in a row Joey always got a buck on the opening day of rifle season. Joey's smile and excitement will be a lasting memory for everyone that knew him. Joey spent most of his free time with his family, working and clearing the land at his home that he had purchased from his Aunt Diane. He had big dreams for his home. He loved playing his Xbox with his friends. Playing with his best buddy Zeus that he took on a car ride every morning while he took his daily trip to the Enosburg Jolley where he was very loved by everyone there. Joey will be remembered for his big heart. He would help anyone in need, with a smile.

Joey was survived by his parents Steve and Janet Longe (Weld) of Enosburg, his sister Becky Longe and her significant other, Jason Lafontaine, their family Cheyenne Aldrich and her significant other, Storm Samson, Mariah Aldrich and her significant other, Carson Collins and Calleigh Lafontaine. His brother, Rusty Longe and his wife, Kimberly Longe and their children, Braedan, Ryan and Sophie Longe. Joey was very excited to be expecting a great nephew, that his niece Mariah is expecting in February 2026. He leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends, relatives and many co-workers. Joey thought very highly of everyone, especially his best friend David Gladu and Stephanie Walker.

Joey was predeceased by his grandparents William & Beatrice (Marcy) Longe, Floyd & Lois (Thompson) Weld. also leaves Aunt Joyce Weld, Gloria Weld, Marjolaine Longe and his Uncle David Chaffee.

Joey's family would like to offer a special thank you for all the love and support that has been given to the family.

A Celebration of Joey's Life will be held at The Abbey, on Friday August 8, 2025. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor his memory. Visiting hours, the service, and a buffet will all be held together at the Abbey from 11:00am-1:30pm.If you wish to send flowers please contact, Flower's by Jenny at 802-373-5476. Joey loved to wear comfortable, casual clothes, he would want people to do the same on his day of celebrating his life.
