SWANTON – Joshua J. Bessette, age 39, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at his home in Swanton.
He was born in St. Albans on May 3, 1982 and is the child of Ed & Candy (Bessette) Weeks.
Josh was the most kind-hearted and stubborn person you would ever meet. He had a heart of gold and would frequently take care of others in need, particularly if someone was homeless. On several occasions he would buy clean clothes at Walmart and give them to a person that was in need. Josh earned his GED but that wasn’t good enough for him, he went on to graduate with his diploma from Burlington High School. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. For several years he owned and operated JB Custom Electronics where he would install satellite dishes at homes. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his Dad and children. Josh always looked forward to Christmas, he would go all out and spoil everyone he could.
He is survived by his parents, Ed & Candy Weeks of Alburgh; his son, Brenden Bessette and his son Rowyn of Alburgh; his daughter, Madisyn Zeidler of Swanton; his sister, Mechelle “Little Sissy” Roberts and her significant other Ricky Bluto and their son Kaeden of Alburgh; his wife, Laurie Bessette; step-son, Cody St. Francis and his children, Ayden, Braelynn, Delanie, Coleby; step-daughter, Shania St. Francis and her children Carter & Jamison White; step-brother, Patrick Weeks and his wife Anna and their children Colton & Christopher Weeks; step-sister, Heather Sanders and her husband Aaron and their children Andrea & Mason Keaton; aunts & uncles, George Bessette and his wife Marshia, Cheryl Phillips, Bernadette Taylor and her husband Daniel, Steven Bessette and his wife Denise, Randy Bessette and his significant other Bobbi-Jo, Doré Hoague and her husband Lynford, Todd Bessette, Eric Bessette and his significant other Laura LaPlant, and Scott Bessette and his wife Maria; and many cousins.
