ENOSBURG FALLS - Joyce (Ward) Broe, age 78, widow of Herbert Peanut Broe, passed away Tuesday afternoon August 7, 2007 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, surrounded by her loving family.
\tJoyce was born February 13, 1929 in Sheldon Springs, Vermont the daughter of the late Mildred Ward.
\tJoyce was a resident of Enosburg Falls for many years and was a member of the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church. She was a long time employee at the former Eveready Battery Co. in St. Albans. She loved to travel to Atlantic City, play BINGO, go out with the girls in the Birthday club, and was the #1 fan at all of her granddaughters sporting events. Mam will be greatly missed by all, especially her children and grandchildren.
\tShe is survived by 2 daughters, Cindy Vaillancourt and her husband Denis of Franklin, and Jackie Broe and her friend Darrell Muzzy of Henderson, NV; her beloved granddaughters, Andrea Kaye Vaillancourt and Dena Raye Vaillancourt; a brother David Sweet and his wife Susan of Deltona, FL; A special Aunt, Evelyn Bocash of Highgate. Joyce is also survived by several wonderful cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and special friends, Toot, Toni, Elaine, and Charlene. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Peanut Broe on June 15, 1999 and her Mother, Mildred (Ward) Sweet on April 18, 1994.
\tFuneral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 AM at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church with Pastor Cheryl Heater officiating. Interment will follow in the Sheldon Village Cemetery.
\tVisiting hours will be held Thursday evening from 6-9 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
