ALBURGH - Katiebelle D. Shedrick, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2018 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab Facility.
She was born June 10, 1926 in Randolph, VT to the late Samuel & Grace (Bradley) Salls.
Katiebelle grew up in Randolph and lived in several areas, including Vermont, Connecticut, Florida, before settling in Alburgh. She was a hard-working mother, homemaker and farmer. She was always sure to take care of her children. She married Milfred Shedrick on July 11, 1966. Katiebelle enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Knight and her husband Leonard of St. Albans, Nancy Turner of Milton, Donald Burleigh and his wife Peggy of Eldon, MO, Diane Shedrick and her husband Gordon of Cardinal, Ontario and Edward Burleigh and his wife Melany of Alburgh; step-children, Daniel Shedrick and his wife Laurie of Alburgh and Geraldine Schoolcraft of Florida; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her siblings, Victor Salls and his wife Rita of Georgia and Lillian Haley and her husband Joseph of Texas and many nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Katiebelle was predeceased by her husband, Milfred Shedrick; two sons, Richard & Robert F. Burleigh and her siblings, Phillip, James, Hiram, Leonard, Richard & John Salls, Liza Eubank, Marjorie Tempeltin and Freda Shipley.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4-7:00 PM at Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton.
A funeral service will be held this spring and interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Swanton.
