Kenneth Limoge

November 9, 1966 — July 20, 2025

SWANTON - Kenneth R. Limoge, age 58, passed away on July 20th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on November 9th, 1966, in Burlington VT, to the late Kenneth and Carol-Anne (Pidgeon) Limoge.

To know Kenneth Limoge was to know strength, loyalty, and heart. He was the kind of man who showed up every single day for the people he loved. A devoted husband to the love of his life, Tina (McDonald) Limoge, whom married on October 5th, 1991. He was a proud father, grandfather, and a loyal friend. He built his life around caring for others, working tirelessly to make sure his family was provided for and never complained. He was always ready to take on more if it meant his family, grandkids, and friends were okay. His love for his wife was fierce, steady, and lifelong, there was nothing he wouldn't do for her. Their bond was the foundation of everything he did, and he made sure she knew it every single day.

He served his country with deep pride and dedication in the National Guard, completing three tours of duty: Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan. That same quiet strength and sense of service guided him throughout his life. He was always the first to lend a hand, to show up, and to give all he could to anyone in need. He believed in hard work, good manners, and doing right by others, no matter what. He was a steadfast worker at the Burlington School district for many years, later settling at Global Foundries where he enjoyed his work. He was an old soul.

Beyond the uniform and work boots, he knew how to enjoy life. Camp was his favorite place in the world, surrounded by family, friends, firelight, and laughter. He loved playing horseshoes, cornhole, cracking a cold one at the end of the day, making jokes, and just being with the people who mattered the most. He had a passion for hockey, singing karaoke with friends, shooting pool, and playing softball. Some of the best memories were made at the ball field with his kids watching him play, or on the ice rink teaching them to skate. He took joy in teaching, guiding, and just being present with his children and grandchildren. From driving lessons to life lessons, he was always there!

Even in the darkest days of his battle with cancer, he never stopped showing up for others. Every morning, no matter how much pain he was in he made it a point to post a cheerful "Happy Monday, Happy Tuesday", and so on, just to bring a little light to someone else's day. That was who he was: a man who gave his all, even when he had very little left to give.

He lived life with love, gave without limits, and laughed often. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the family he adored, and the example he set: how to work hard, love harder, and lead with your whole heart.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Tina; children, Jennifer Jackman and her husband Jason, Sara Minor and her husband Branden, Krystal Limoge and her partner Mikel Morgan, and Kenneth Limoge II; grandchildren, Kellan, Lilly, Jayce, Abriana, Kane, Adalyne, Gracelyn, Kye, Julius, Michael, and Myles; siblings, Linda Limoge, Catherine Limoge, and Keith Limoge, and several nieces and nephews.
