ENOSBURG FALLS - Kevin D. Elwood, age 48, a true outdoorsman and passionate hunter and fisherman, passed away on April 20, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He fought valiantly over the past 6 years for his children and family. Throughout it all "Kevin was Kevin" his sense of humor, his positivity, and his curiosity never waned. He was, and remains, an inspiration to everyone around him.
He was born on June 14, 1975, in St. Albans to Clifford & Darlene (Smart) Elwood.
Known for his adventurous spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand, Kevin was a wanderer who found solace in the beauty of nature. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his love for his family and friends. He shared many memorable moments in the woods and on the waters, creating lasting memories with those he cared for.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Heather Elwood; their children, Fisher Elwood, and Annabelle Elwood; his parents, Clifford & Darlene Elwood; siblings, Adam Elwood and his wife Shana, and Emily White and her husband Alex; mother-in-law, Shirley Paradee; brothers-in-law, Todd Paradee, and Troy Paradee and his partner Sheri; nieces & nephews, Andrew, Abygail, Peyton, Ryland, Kellan, Carter, Tucker, Sam, Griffin, Gavin, and Wyatt; and several aunts, uncles, and friends. Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents, Charlene Black, and Arnold & Nellie Elwood; his father-in-law, Brad Paradee; and sisters-in-law, Pam & Richelle.
Kevin's family would like to thank Dr. Sanders and his staff, the staff at Miller 5 at the UVM Medical Center, and the staff from VNA Hospice for the care he received over these past six years.
Friends & family are invited to Kevin's life celebration to include visitation from 4-7:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home.
