RICHFORD - Lauretta Martin, age 69, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 25, 2026 at her home in Richford.
She was born on February 20, 1957 in St. Albans to John and Barbara Boylan.
Lauretta was a dedicated caregiver, pouring her heart into her work in the healthcare industry, and she acted as a nurturer not only to her family but to everyone she met. Lauretta's warmth and generosity extended beyond her immediate family; she truly was a mother to everyone, welcoming all into her embrace.
A true lover of the outdoors, Lauretta cherished her time spent camping at Lake Carmi, fishing, and swimming. Many cherished memories were made around card tables during family gatherings, where her laughter rang through the air. She had a talent for painting, which she also enjoyed as a creative outlet. She thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent with her grandchildren, showering them with love and affection, enriching their lives with the same kindness she offered to everyone. Family traditions during the holidays held a special place in her heart, as they brought everyone together, creating bonds and memories that will endure beyond her years.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Martin; children, Raymond Sylva and his wife Donna, John Sylva and his wife Shannon, Robert Sylva Sr. and his wife Shirley, Nichole Martin and her significant other Jeremy Townsend; grandchildren, Abraham and Amos Munch, Carter and Mason Sylva, Khayli Martin, John Martin, Rayonna Martin, Keldon Martin, Robert Sylva Jr., Leah Sylva, Brayden Paquette and Alaunah Martin; great grandchildren, Dominic Clapper and Willow Paquette; siblings, Grace Martin, Sylvia Button, Kathy Berger, John Boylan II, Rose Wood, Allan Boylan Sr.; canine companion, Nita; special friends, Angie Terry and Linda Zenisky, and many others, and several nieces and nephews.
Lauretta was predeceased by her parents, John and Barbara; daughter, Erina Martin; granddaughter, Lizah Martin; grandson, Jaden Paquette; siblings, Esther Boomhower and Joan Levick.

Friends and family will be invited to Lauretta's life celebration to include a funeral service on Friday, March 13th, at 2:00PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450.
